Documentary Filmmaking: What makes the film unique? – A personal journey with Eng Yee Peng.
Dear Educators,

Are you looking at planning programmes to enrich students on topics such as national education, filmmaking aesthetic, Chinese language and history?  Want to expose your students to learn more about the lost kampong landscape, community and its spirit?  And to encourage your students to think critically, encourage them to be themselves in order to shine?
Screen Diminishing Memories I and Diminishing Memories II (DM I & II) with the film director’s Question-And-Answer session, this programme is eligible for up to 50% subsidy from the Tote Board Arts Grant (National Arts Council Arts Education Programme, NAC-AEP).
DM I & II are award winning and internationally acclaimed films produced by home-grown filmmaker- Eng Yee Peng.  The film screenings at The Arts House were all sold out and received overwhelming response and support from the public and media.
Lian He Zao Bao, ZBNow Senior Correspondent, Ang Ming Hwa(洪铭铧《联合早报·现在》)saw the educational value of DM I & II, he encouraged students to watch the films, “建议学校组团捧场,对同学的文化启发很有帮助。”.
Yee Peng is also the author of the Chinese book-《我们这样长大:新加坡的童年生活》,launched in August 2012, is one of the top 10 best sellers at Popular Bookstore.  Shewas a columnist with Lian He Zao Bao, ZBNow (《联合早报·现在》) and was nominated for The Great Women Of Our Time Awards 2009, organised by The Singapore Women’s Weekly.
DM I & II are two thought-provoking and unconventional documentaries that prompted discussions and reflections about the fast-paced development of our country.  The programme is not only designed to expose students to film appreciation and aesthetic, but to encourage critical thinking.  The filmmaker will share her personal journey in pursuing her dreams, encouraging students to follow their hearts, dare to be different and be inspired!

The programme comes with two packages to cater for your budget, interest and time limitations.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at diminishingmemories@hotmail.com should you have any enquiries or would like to make a booking.

Thank you so much for your kind attention.  Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
