Want to be heard by US President? Filming for My America Movie on 28th Feb

Posted: February 18, 2010 in Others 其他

Dear friends, I do not believe any single person can change the world but we should all do our little parts to make it a better place for all of us to live in. However, there are some key people in this world who could made key decisions that will affect the world we live in. Do you have anything to say to one of them?

Recording video messages to be sent to the president of United States is what I’m doing. Do you have concerns about our society, our economy, our environment etc? Or perhaps some dreams, hopes and wishes that you would like to tell the president of United States- Barack Obama? I’m collecting and recording 30secs worth of video messages from each person in Singapore for the theatrical documentary movie called My America. This film is directed by Peter Hegedus, an award winning Australian filmmaker based in Brisbane. Peter is traveling the world, collecting messages and he would like to meet the US president. Here’s your chance to be heard.

I will be filming the messages on 28th Feb 2010, 9:30-12pm. Meet me at the open area outside Asian Civilisations Museum. Nearest MRT- Raffles Place. It’s just opposite the Fullerton Hotel, across the bridge. Please feel free to forward this email to your contacts who might be interested and do reply email to ypengemail-ma@yahoo.com.sg if you are coming. Come early so you wouldn’t have to wait too long for the queue.

Eng Yee Peng is an independent documentary filmmaker in Singapore, her documentaries- Diminishing Memories I & II were screened to sold-out audience at The Arts House from September – November 2008. She was nominated for The Singapore Women’s Weekly’s "Great Women Of Our Time Award" in 2009 and is an Associate Film Artist with The Substation.
